June 8 -12

This will be the last week that students have "conventional" programing. Next week there will not be videos with formal lessons, but instead you will work through a Math Review Scavenger Hunt as well as participate in the Flat Teacher activity that I have prepared for you. I will be dropping a package off to each house Thursday or Friday. I will not have time for a full visit this time, sorry! There will be instructions for each activity and I will ask that you post about any questions or progress on TEAMS to give everyone a chance to practice using the TEAMS platform.

Speaking of TEAMS, I will be doing a class video chat on Monday June 8 from 12:30-1:00 as well as on Wednesday June 10 from 9:30-10:00. I hope that you are able to join us for one of those times this week. I will do more next week as well.

Here is our week next week. I will be unavailable Monday and Tuesday, but I will be on my email and will try to respond to any questions as soon as possible.

I will be posting some science activities and videos for you try out to supplement our numeracy and literacy activities. We would typically be going to Nicholas Sheran Lake to float boats at this point in the year which is a student favourite. I hope there can be some fun playing with Boats and Buoyancy in the tub or backyard :) Have fun!

Our school division has asked us to ensure that every single student is set up with this program in order to facilitate a smooth transition for the fall. I will continue to post on this website and YouTube as usual, with using TEAMS as an additional platform as we explore the program and try to figure it out. Please think of it like this - things will stay the same, with an additional tool in our toolbox (TEAMS).

I have been able to give most of you your login information, and hope that you have been able to get the program downloaded. Please be patient with me as I figure out how to make videos for you explaining how to do this. I will post some content on the "Lewis Homeroom Grade 2 Team".
